College Entrance - Few tips

Dear Friends
CBSE along with many state boards have conducted their exams and other state board exams will soon finish. All of you will be planning for college education and many of you will be appearing for Engineering , Medical , CLAT  and other such exams.
Along with you even your parents are stressed about your entrance and there must be few parents who are more tensed  then their wards. Everyone wants to go to the best college.  Few of you must have started revising for your exams.  Most of the exams are objective type and they have negative marking. This marking system also creates confusion about attempting a question. Coaching classes are mushrooming on every nook and corner of a locality and are teaching their students to take up exams in a better manner. This whole system makes every one more tensed. However, this is not the time to get stressed, be cool. I will say it again that your brain is God made computer, let it function properly.
Giving it load might hamper its efficiency.  Attempt questions carefully. First mark those answers for which you are sure.  You might get confused on few questions  analyse it, eliminate the wrong answer and you can end up finding the correct answer.  Don’t do  a lot of guess  work.  Mark fairly good number of answers so that you have a chance to make a place in the merit list. Don’t get stressed. Little anxiety and stress has positive impact it makes you more alert but excess of it hamper your performance. Parents are advised to support their children by giving positive vibes and moral support, even if their child is unable to perform well in these exams, they will find some other way. These exams are just for admission in a college; they are not a deciding factor of your life.
Students from small town and “average” colleges also give excellent performance in their carrier and life. Revise formulae, reactions and other such type of things. Don’t leave easy chapters even they are asked in exams and they carry equal marks. Instead of working hard on difficult topics try to revise those topics in which you are comfortable. Take 6 to 8 hour sleep before going for your exams, it increases your mental efficiency. Eat light food, fruits, juices and glucose before exams. Don’t discuss much before entering examination hall, it creates confusion and makes you nervous.  Remember these small things and do well in your exams. All the best

Board Exams - Take it Easy

Board Exams – Take it easy
All the Best for your Exams dear Friends
Its examination time. The day has come for which we kept waiting for a long time.  We all are are prepared for our exams. Some of you  feel that you have not studied properly or forgetting everything , this is quite natural and it happens with everyone  only degree varies from person to person. Study time is over its time to put it on paper. Three hours in the examination hall are very important.  Remain positive about everything. As I have already said, your brain is a God made computer and everything you have studied , heard in the classroom or  read in the news paper are there , you brain knows how to retrieve it at the right time. Those who have studied light and sound know about interference of waves. When  waves are in the same phase they produce constructive effect and its value increases  and when they are in opposite phase their value decreases. So don’t create negative waves by thinking negative, don’t think about result thing about question and answer it.  Even if you have made some mistake in one of your papers it finishes with the paper itself, thinking again and again about your mistake  creates pressure in your mind which reduces it efficiency and effects your health. Remain happy talk to family and friend and relax even during your examination period . You have to keep good physical and mental health all through your exams and even after that.

Wish you all a grand success.

A Leter to students appearing for Board Exams 2016 Small tips to win the Battle (The Board Exam)-

A Leter to students appearing for Board Exams 2016
Small tips to win the Battle (The Board Exam)-
Dear Friends
All the best for your Board Exams. You have studied a lot till now, ist time to recall and put them on your answer sheet. Anxiety about question paper and marks is quite normal but for performing well in exams you have to keep calm and composed. Your brain is like a computer which saves all your files properly, and with right command you can retrieve ihe right file on right time. If you click your mouse again and again without giving required time your computer shows error, same is the case with your brain too. So please keep calm, don’t get stressed, don’t think about marks or result. Instead of reading your syllabuses again and again try solving previous year’s question papers. It will be better if you do them in allotted time, but don’t get nervous if you are unable to finish it in stipulated time or finding them difficult. Check answers of difficult questions and note in a separate register so that you can go through them whenever you get time. You are likely to get few similar or same questions in your exams.
It is generally seen that students give more importance to their optional subjects and neglect language and other so called additional subjects, remember all subjects have equal weightage and many colleges include English marks in their cutoffs. So do justice with language and additional subjects.
While revising your subject  go through in text questions and information given in coloured and bold fonts, they make a question in Board exams. Solve NCERT questions and solved examples, they are asked quite often.
Try to solve High Order Thinking (HOT) questions for practice.
Social networking sites and people around you keep talking about success and failure, don’t pay much attention to it. Online frenzy can disturb your peace of mind.. Be yourself think about today and give your 100% to your studies. Have faith on God, Efforts made on these days will result in big awards. Some children stop eating and some of them start hogging food. Both these things are not good, eat light and healthy food , avoid junk food. Your food has great impact on functioning of your brain.
Do’s and Don’ts –
1.      Eat light food and adequate amount of fresh, green leafy vegetables. Drink planity of fluids and water.
2.      Avoid junk and heavy food.
3.      Revise highlighted and in text questions given in NCERT Books.
4.      Solve previous year question papers.
5.      Revise short questions like a game with your friend or parents.
6.      Do Yoga/Meditation to keep calm and for better  performance.
7.      Go for a walk or listen light music for relaxation.
8.      Don’t compare your studies or yourself with anyone else.
9.      Don’t be superstitious. God is great.

Wish you all a great success.

World Breast Feeding Week 1 August to 7 August 2015

Plum Headed parakeet- A day for parakeets

Seeing plum headed parakeet both male and female was  an amazing experience. Parakeets in general are very beautiful and their activities and calls have attracted  us so much that they are kept in cage even now.But I feel that watching them free is a great pleasure. I was close to nature from last so many years and had great appreciation for nature and my stay at Shivpuri brought me much much more closer to it. Watching beautiful colourful birds became my pass time or hobby. I started studying about them and now , I will not hesitate in saying that I have fallen in love with this beautiful creation of God. Today morning when I was sitting in my garden a flock of parakeets landed at the top of a tree close to me. I saw grey headed parakeets with yellow beak, They were slightly smaller than the common parakeet. I had seen  male plum headed parakeet in winters and thought the new grey head parakeet to be of different species but on going through book I came to know that it is female of plum headed parakeet. Story does't end here. Their was a small hole in the stem of tree and I saw two female fighting for home. I have recorded that beautiful fight for land.
Our organisation is motivating people to keep food and water for birds and I have kept few pots on floor and  have hanged few of them on various places so that all types of birds could get water easily.
I saw a common parakeet trying to drink water from one of the pots hanging on the branch of. I could see it assessing wether  it will be safe for it to sit on pot. Then s/he decided to sip water without sitting on the pot. It was really interesting to watch its acrobatics. It will not be wrong to say that it was a parakeets day.
